What happens when it rains?

Let’s face it we live in Vancouver and the chances of it raining on your day are high.  My best advice to brides is buy all of your wedding party a great umbrella that matches your colour scheme of the day.  You have spent so much money and time in making sure that everyone looks fabulous and how bad will it look if your bridesmaids have shabby umbrellas in case of the rain.  Vancouver is full of great umbrella shops so get a few and put them in their gift bags… and maybe you might be a bit disappointed if they don’t get to use them on your big day…. regardless of that you wont be so worried if they do or don’t get used!  http://www.theumbrellashop.com Locally made and owned the Umbrella shop is a great place to start for umbrellas.  They offer discounts when you buy more than one and they are all made right here in their Vancouver shop.

Flowers

Today was a rainy vancouver day and what better thing to write about … flowers.  I love making flowers for my clients and dreaming up new methods of making them.   I started making flowers out of silk many years ago when a client requested one for her dress.  I spent hours figuring out the perfect flower for her.  I now make flowers in feathers, I add sparkle and sometimes even make one to cheer on our home team.
